28th CYCLING MARATHON “HEROES OF VINEYARDS” 2024

The “Heroes of vineyards” cycling marathon will take place this year in its traditional format, on Saturday, June 1, 2024. This year, too, the participants will cycle to Brda for a good cause, as part of the proceeds from the paid entry fees will be used to provide professional support to blind and visually impaired children, young people and their families, which is offered by the Inter-Community Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Nova Gorica.

The route of the recreational marathon is 108 kilometers long – starting at 8:30 a.m. in Ljubljana and leading through Vrhnika, Logatec, over Črni vrh. The stop is in Ajdovščina near Fructal, where the main group will be joined by the tandems of the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and then they will continue their journey together towards Nova Gorica, across Sabotin to Brda, where the marathon ends at the organizer’s headquarters, in Dobrovo, at 13:30.

This year, cyclists on electric bikes are very welcome again. The more of us, the better time we’ll have!
