A plus white and A plus red are the very best that the terroir of Brda can offer to experienced wine lovers. Produced only in the best vintages, these are limited editions, with each bottle uniquely numbered. The elegance of A plus wines is the result of a carefully monitored ripening process, the meticulous ageing in the best barriques and the unique interpretation of our chief oenologist. This pairing allows the hard work and true character of each vintage and vineyard to shine through.

In search of the highest quality, Slovenian winegrowers have, in the recent years, also started to look for vineyards which not only meet the general quality requirements, but also reflect the special identity of the site or the vineyard. To prove how important winegrowing location is, we can use the example of the Motnik Single Vineyard Ribolla from the Lisičke vineyard, which last year scored 95 points and received a gold medal at the British wine competition Decanter world wine awards.

This artful blend of selected grape varieties from the best vineyards produces wines which are soft, full and with real aromatic elegance. Chardonnay-Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot-Cabernet Franc move away from the heavy and over-extracted wines which are so often seen at the premium level, instead focusing on clear varietal aromas and minerality, in which the soils of Brda are best reflected.

Virgo is the most elaborate and complex sparkling wine by Klet Brda; a limited release of manually disgorged sparkling wines, bottled in magnum and left to mature on its lees for as long as sixty months. Made in the traditional method, it is produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with Ribolla Gialla, the first lady of Brda, adding a unique freshness. It is a Brut Nature sparkling wine, appreciated by wine connoisseurs and lovers of the world’s finest sparkling wines.
