At the open national wine assessment Vino Slovenija held for the 42nd time in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia, 12 champions were selected among 468 wine samples. One of those is the champion title for red wine that is younger than 3 years. This year Klet Brda winery presents such a champion. Cabernet sauvignon Quercus 2014 is not only the best selling 0.75 litre bottle in Slovenia but also the champion of young red wines of this year’s assessment. Beside this title Klet Brda has received five silver and five gold medals including a great gold medal for Chardonnay Bagueri 2012.

The grapes for the Quercus wines are grown on the selected vineyards in the hilly Brda region bordering with Italian Collio by 200 families, which is half of the membership of the cooperative with a tradition more than 60 years long. The grapes are handpicked and the wines estate bottled to guaranty the very best quality.
