Klet Brda has been exporting to Poland, a market with great potential, since 2013, recording a double-digit growth every year. Although in Poland the annual consumption of wine is as low as 2.1 litres per capita (the European average amounts to 23.9 litres per capita), a distinctive growth trend of almost 0.7 % per year has been observed since 2011. Poland is a market with good development prospects, eager to learn more about wine. It is also the largest importer of wine in Eastern Europe.
The positive results of Klet Brda in Poland are due to good reviews from wine critics as well as to visits of Polish distributors to Brda, where they come in direct contact with Slovenia as a wine producing country and grow fond of it.
