Krasno line with a new image and new wines

Klet Brda has refreshed the graphic design and expanded the selection of wines featuring in the gastronomic Krasno line. In addition to the Krasno White and Krasno Red blends, the line has been completed with three varietal wines: Krasno Ribolla Gialla, Krasno Merlot and Krasno Pinot Noir.

Graphic design

The new image reflects the configuration and the specific traits of the terroir:  we wanted to evince the fragmented plots scattered over the hills of Brda and characterised by diverse microclimatic conditions which enable us to meet the specific needs of every grape variety.  The purpose of the dotted lines is to imply the terraces cut into the steep marly slopes, where our wines with a mineral character are produced. In line with the latest design trends in wine-making, the label also offers a tactile experience.

Krasno wines

In 2013, Krasno White and Krasno Red were created for the catering industry since they are able to accompany a great variety of culinary delights thanks to their rich structure and fresh aromatic profile. We have now added a well-structured Ribolla Gialla matured in large oak barrels: an intense, yet still fresh wine primarily intended to accompany complex fish dishes. Krasno Merlot is a rich deep red wine with an aroma composed of a wide range of fruity nuances. It is full-bodied with a soft texture and a pleasantly long and warm conclusion. It is best paired with red meat and mature cheeses.  Krasno Pinot Noir prides itself on the nicely expressed tannins. It is pleasantly soft with a full body and a warm ending –  a perfect addition to specialities like duck breast, grilled tuna, risotto with mushrooms and smoked salmon.

We believe that real gourmets will find a Krasno wine that will suit their palate when dining in fine restaurants. In view of the message the Krasno line conveys, we also believe that skilled owners of restaurants will be able to nicely interpret it. Sustainable wine-growing on steep slopes where most of the work is done manually and where instead of irrigating we listen to nature represents only 0.5% of Europe’s wine production. This is why our wines are authentic and honest. In every sip you can sense the hard work of the families united in the Klet Brda cooperative, who grow the best-quality grapes with respect for the cycles of nature.

Let us remember where the name of the line comes from. Klet Brda named the line Krasno to pay tribute to a tiny little village situated high in the Brda hills where the vineyards are particularly steep, but fruit magnificent wines.
