Heritage Tour
Mt Sabotin, one of the battlefields of the Isonzo Front, is now home to the Sabotin Peace Park, offering a variety of natural and historical landmarks. Here, we will search for the hidden caverns, explore the local fauna and flora, and admire the breath-taking views. After a warm meal, we will continue our tour in the medieval village of Šmartno, characterised by its narrow alleys and unique architecture. We will visit Klet Brda, the leading producer and exporter of Slovenian wines, and enjoy a guided wine tasting with refreshments. From there, we will move on to the village of Gradno and visit its St. George church to admire the works of two renowned Slovenian painters, Zoran Mušič and Lojze Spacal. We will end our tour with a late lunch at a tourist farm with authentic Brda cuisine.
