Excelling at this year’s Vino Slovenija Gornja Radgona competition, was Bagueri Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, which scored 92.6 points and was awarded the highest title Champion among red wines. This is why we decided to give the bottle a special gold look in orded to distinguish it from the 2015 vintage. If you look closely you can see the coordinates of the selected vineyards from which the grapes for this winning wine came from.
Bagueri Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 impressed the evaluators in Gornja Radgona with its deep ruby red colour with purple hues, distinct aroma of blackcurrant, plum jam, cocoa, and chocolate, and a velvety full-bodied taste with sweet tanins, which combined with the aroma of vanilla create an extremely harmonious and complex wine. Grapes for Bagueri Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 were picked manually in terraced vineyards with SW and SE position. Fermentation took place in French barriques and large oak barrels. The wine then matured 80% in French barriques and 20% in large oak barrels for at least 24 months.
