Japan Wine Challenge, at which participated 29 countries with 1400 wine samples in July of this year, is famous as the most important wine judging in Asia.
As early as 2000, the Goriška Brda Wine Cellar has paved its way to the Japan market successfully, which is also the merit of the professional attitude of Japan distributors. A constant sales growth in Japan market has been sustained by the cellar by launching projects, among which is also the presentation of the Cellar at the FoodEx 2010 Japan Exhibition.
The awards obtained at the Japan Wine Challenge present a great support to intense sales activities. The awarded prizes can also be regarded as a proof of competitiveness of our wines throughout the world, notwithstanding culture diversity. The fruitiness, freshness and mineral richness of Brda wines are an excellent match for Japan gastronomy, which is based on fish dishes.
